What we collect, what we do with it, and when it's gone. Last updated October 2026.
What we collect
- When you sign up: your name, email address and business name.
- Your interview: the recording and transcript of your setup interview.
- Your photos: the job photos you share with us.
- Your approvals: which posts you approve or turn down, and the reasons you give.
- If you ask for a free post: your name, email address, website or Facebook page, and any notes you add.
We never see your card number. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never get your social media passwords. You connect your accounts through each platform's own sign-in.
What we use it for
To make your posts, schedule the ones you approve, bill you, and email you about your account. If you asked for a free post, we use what you sent to make it, email it to you, and email you about Shop Talk. You can tell us to stop any time. That's it. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for anything else.
Who else handles it
We use a few outside services to do parts of the work: payments, the setup interview, storing your photos, and scheduling your posts. Each one only gets what it needs to do its part, and none of them can use it for anything else.
This website
This site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It tells us which of our ads bring people to the site and which lead to a sign-up, and it sets cookies in your browser to do that. Meta handles that information under its own privacy policy. You can limit it in your Facebook ad settings or by blocking cookies in your browser. It also uses the Taboola Pixel, a similar piece of code from Taboola, the company that places our ads on news and content sites. It does the same job for those ads and sets its own cookies. Taboola handles that information under its own privacy policy. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how people use this site, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can see what works and fix what doesn't. It sets cookies and collects information about your visit. Microsoft handles that information under its own privacy policy (privacy.microsoft.com). We also use Rewardful to track referrals from our affiliate partners. It sets a cookie when you arrive through a partner's link. The checkout page is run by Stripe under its own privacy policy.
When you leave
When your paid period ends, we delete your photos and any graphics we made that haven't been posted, and close your account with us. Posts that already went out stay on your social accounts, which are yours. Stripe keeps its own payment records as the law requires.
